Consultancy
In a consultancy role and as a Nedap AEOS architect, I am able to translate a client’s problem, by means of a thorough investigation, into a technical sollution. This is also possible in combination with links to other systems. Furthermore, we can also provide acquisition support to the account manager.
Preperation phase
Setting up the card/keyfob
The basis of an access control project is the card/keyfob. Which one to use will be the first choice to make. In order to create this pass/keyfob, sevaral applications need to be put on there, as the card/keyfob can be used for multiple purposes. A decision is made in consultation with the end user and the card supplier possibly in combination with a card management system. All this forms an important base for the access control project
Engineering
Engineering of the whole package. The total package consists of block diagrams, floor plans, and connection plans/overviews
Internal training to increase expertise
Training the engineers on the technical aspects of the Nedap AEOS system. This is applicable for both new engineers (predominantly the basic apsects) and the experienced engineers.
Coaching engineering
In order to gain (more) experience and knowledge, there is the possibility to get support in setting up an engineering package
Consulting with the client about the who, where, when matrix
It is imporant, at an earl stage, to consult with the client, and agree upon with him/her the set-up of the system. It is imperative to determine the which rights are granted to whom and when/where an area can be entered.
Implementation phase
Project supervision
Reaching a consenus with subcontractors for installation, and with suppliers to link the systems. Supporting the installation and commissioning and check the quality of the installation and the practical functionality of the products.
Projectmanagement
Fully managing the project both in an financial as practical sense and act as end responsible party in the name of the client
Commissioning
Setting up and activating the Nedap AEOS systems along the lines of the requested functionalities of a to be set-up part of the system
Installing the Nedap AEOS server
Installation of the AEOS sever based on Windows or Linux Debian, linked to MSSQL, MySQL or PostreSQLL database

Configuring AEOS card’s file
Creating a configuration file in Aereco in order to read it with the AEOS ecquipment of the access control sector or a file in a Nedap, Mifare or a DESfire card/keyfob
Setting up AEOS system for activation/use
In cooperation with the client, helping him/her get started (if requested, this can be done completely by an import) to implement the previouisly agreed upon authorisations in the AEOS system prior to starting with the activation and actual use. This will allow for immediate use by the end user (client) with all the correct authorisations implemented.

Opdrachtgever instructie geven over hoe deze het beste kan omgaan met het vullen van de database,hetzij handmatig ingevoerd en gekoppeld aan een ERP-systeem of hetzij een import.

Maintanance decentralised components
Preventive maintanance
Maintaining the installation modules for the Nedap AEOS system, but also the parts connected to it, such as the architectual state of the hinges and locks. This is to prevent malfunctions. All information is sent back in a clear and concise report with recommendations that adhere to NEN2767
Alles wordt in een duidelijke rapportage en met aanbevelingen teruggekoppeld conform NEN2767.
Corrective maintanance
System parts are replaced after previously occurring and identified defects.
Installation Upgrade
Changes due to new Microsoft versions
New versions of for the Microsoft servers are released regularly for our clients. In order to deal with said new releases, it is import to implement the most recent version of Nedap AEOS.

Addition of new functionalities
Nedap AEOS continues to develop new functionalities in order to adhere to wishes of customers. When the need for a new functionality arises, the installation will have to be upgraded. To request an update procedure, an upgrade assurance with a Nedap partner needs to be discussed and arranged. The method for upgrading will, at all times, be implemented by following an OTAP process, as this is the only method that allows for a seamless upgrade. The upgrading process is done in close cooperation with the customer’s ICT department.
Voor het kunnen aanvragen van een upgrade-procedure zal er een upgrade assurance met een partner van Nedap afgestemd moeten zijn.
De methode van upgraden wordt ten alle tijden volgens een OTAP-proces uitgevoerd, aangezien dit de enige methode is om probleemloos een goede upgrade te laten verlopen. Het upgraden gaat in nauwe samenwerking met de ICT-afdeling van de opdrachtgever.
